El Mexica de Barcelona

Really the best mexican I've had in Barcelona. Food was amazing although portions could have been a bit bigger. However, only two waiters which make the service a bit slower than one would like it to be. Small place so does get loud but you can still speak without shouting. Simple decoration.

I’m a big fan of Mexican food. Since i moved to Barcelona over 13 Years ago, i have found the Mexican options to be minimal and also not so great. They have however been many new Mexican spots in recent years. This Restaurant I discovered a bit more than 2 Years ago. It’s excellent! Authentic plates, full of flavor, always fresh and a place I’ve revisited more than 15 times since discovery. I love their Nachos, so much better than what other like restaurants offer. Tacos, enchiladas, all amazing. And to top it off, their 3 leches desert. Do not forget to have a margarita classico or two, also well done!!

I had the most pleasant experience when dining here today. Ber was incredible and his service was sublime - even while being very much rushed with customers. The food was outstanding. I absolutely loved the Taco De Pastor - It was truly delicious. I will definitely be recommending this restaurant to anyone when they mention a trip to Barcelona. I will be visiting again!

El Mexicà de Barcelona completely exceeded my expectations. From the very first bite, you can tell this place is all about authentic flavors and real heart. The chilaquiles were perfectly balanced: crispy, saucy, and full of depth, and the pollo con mole was rich, tender, and deeply satisfying. I’m still thinking about the tres leches cake, light and indulgent at the same time (I loved it so much I took a slice home for breakfast the next morning -zero regrets!). And the drinks? Just wow. The micheladas were spot-on and full of flavor, and the tamarind margarita was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had: tangy, slightly sweet, and dangerously good. On top of all that, the service was truly exceptional. Our waitress was an absolute gem warm, kind, just lovely. She made the whole experience feel personal and memorable. If you're looking for a place that brings true Mexican soul to the table, this is it. Friendly vibes, incredible food, and unforgettable cocktails. Can’t wait to go back!

We had an incredible experience at El Mexicà! The food was absolutely delicious, especially the house special nachos, which were packed with flavor, and the desserts too! Both the tres leches and crepes were amazing. The portion sizes were perfectly balanced, leaving us satisfied without feeling overstuffed, and everything offered great value for the price. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were so attentive and genuinely kind. We’re already looking forward to our next visit, and we highly recommend it!

I got the mole enchilada, and it was so good! And the tres leches here is unique from others. The owner is easy to talk to if you’re English-speaking.
